Our Faith

We Believe…

  • The Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and the Divine and final authority for all Christian faith & life. 2 Timothy 3:16,17

  • In one God, creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. 1 Corinthians 8:6; Matthew 28:19; John 14: 23-26

  • In Jesus Christ, true God and true Man, Who was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross as the sacrifice for our sins; He arose from the dead and ascended into heaven, where, at the right hand of God, He is now our advocate and High Priest. He will return in glory to judge the living and the dead. Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:18-25; 1 Corinthians 15; Hebrews 7:25; John1:3-14; Romans 3:24,25;1 Peter 2:21-25;Acts 1:9, 10; 1 John 2:1,2; Matthew 25:31-41

  • That man was created in the image of God, chose to sin and is, therefore, spiritually dead. Only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can he obtain salvation and spiritual life. Genesis 1:26, 27; 2:27; 3:16; 1 Corinthians 15:21,22; Romans 3:9-23; Ephesians 2:9-23; John 3:36

  • Every person can have restored fellowship with God through ‘salvation’ (accepting Christ’s offer of forgiveness for sin). Acts 4:12; Romans 5: 6-11

  • Water baptism by immersion after repenting of one’s sins and receiving Christ’s gift of salvation, and Holy Communion (the Lord’s Supper) as a symbolic remembrance of Christ’s suffering and death for our salvation. Matt 28:18-20; Romans 6: 3-11; Luke 22: 17-20; 1 Corinthians 11: 23-26

  • The baptism in the Holy Spirit is a special experience following salvation that empowers believers for witnessing and effective service, just as it did in New Testament times. The baptism in the Holy Spirit and being filled is given to believers who ask for it. Acts 1:4,5; Acts 2:1-4

  • The sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life. Galatians 5:16-25

  • The Church has a mission to seek and save all who are lost in sin. We believe that the true church is composed of everyone who has been regenerated by the Holy Spirit through saving faith in Jesus Christ, (regardless of religious denomination). God has called His church to worship Him, to disciple believers, and to proclaim the Gospel to all the world. Acts 2:41,42;Romans 12:5; Ephesians 1:22, 23; 3:21; 4:11-13; 5:23,24; 1 Corinthians 12:12-14; 2 Corinthians 11:2;Acts 14:27; 2 Timothy 2:2

  • A divinely called and scriptural ordained ministry has been provided by our Lord for the fourfold purpose of leading the Church in: (1) evangelization of the world (Mark 16:15-20), (2) worship of God (John 4:23,24), (3) building a Body of saints being perfected in the image of His Son (Ephesians 4:11,16), and (4) meeting human need with ministries of love and compassion Psalm 112:9; Galatians 2:10; 6:10; James 1:27.

  • Divine healing is an integral part of the gospel. Deliverance from sickness is provided for in the Atonement, and is the privilege of all believers. Isaiah 53:4, 5; Matthew 8:16, 17; James 5:14-16.

  • In the personal and imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ and that this has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer. Mark 13:32;1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; John 14:3;1 Corinthians 15; Revelation 1:7

  • That it is appointed unto man once to die, and after this, judgment will occur. We also believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead; of the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord, and of the unbeliever to judgment and eternal separation from God. Hebrews 9:27; Matthew 10:15; 12:36; 25:31-46; 1 Corinthians 15:22-25; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Malachi 3:18; John 5:28, 29; Revelation 20:4-6; 11-15; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-9

  • “We, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness” (2 Peter 3:13; Revelation 21 and 22).
