We believe that ministry grows best out of genuine relationships, and we consider it a joy to walk alongside your family as we grow together in faith.

Pastor Brandon Thyrion

Lead Pastor

Pastor Brandon Thyrion serves as the Lead Pastor of Calvary Church and is passionate about seeing people transformed by the love and power of Jesus. Having experienced radical life change through Christ in his own life, Brandon has a heart to see that same transformation take place in others—believing that changed people can impact families, churches, and entire communities.

Brandon’s passion is to see a community on fire for the Lord, where people encounter Jesus, experience genuine life change, and then carry that hope into the lives of others.

Before serving at Calvary Church, Brandon helped develop and lead ministries at his previous church. Prior to entering full-time church ministry, he served as an Intake Coordinator at Adult & Teen Challenge, where he had the opportunity to walk alongside individuals seeking freedom and a new direction for their lives.

Brandon is a graduate of the Assemblies of God District School of Ministry and is an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God.

Brandon and his wife, Kourtney, serve together at Calvary Church, where Kourtney works in the church’s front office. Together, they have four children—Tyler, Amelia, Uriah, and Bethany—and love being part of the Calvary family and the greater community.

When Brandon isn’t preaching, leading, or spending time with his family, you’ll likely find him fishing—or at least wishing he was!

Kara Krueger

Children's Director

Kara and her husband, Brandon, are the Kid's World Directors and oversee the Calvary children's ministry. They help to create a safe and fun environment where kids learn about Jesus and grow in their faith. They love getting to invest in the NOW generation and watching kids discover and grow in their relationships with Jesus!

Kara and Brandon have such a passion to show people, especially children, the love of Christ. They have seen children who have come from all different kinds of homes and backgrounds who don’t know what it’s like to be truly loved. They feel a huge weight and calling to teach children that they have a Heavenly Father who loves them and cares for them so deeply and who wants to have a personal relationship with them.

Kara attended Life Leadership College and has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Church Leadership from Southwestern Assemblies of God. Her love for children’s ministry began at this college, where she interned at Life Church and once graduated, became the children’s ministry coordinator of their Milwaukee Campus.

Kara and Brandon love to go on family adventures with their two kids, Theo and Jude. They like to go on bike rides, visit state parks and explore new places! They both love board games and reading!

Sharayah Fromstein

Worship Director

As Worship Director, Sharayah leads Calvary’s worship ministry by selecting songs and teams, leading practices, communicating with the worship and tech teams, and helping create a God-centered environment where people can encounter Jesus through worship.

Sharayah loves Jesus and loves people, and her heart is to serve Him by loving and serving His Church. Becoming the Worship Director at Calvary was never something she set out to do, but God had other plans. As He opened doors and orchestrated each step, she chose to follow His leading. Her desire is to remain surrendered to whatever God has for her, faithfully steward the calling He has placed on her life, and serve the people of Calvary well.

Sharayah and her husband, Tim, have been married for 14 years and have four kids—Danyl, Kate, Everlie, and Asher. When she’s not leading worship, you’ll probably find her spending time with her family, studying God’s Word, reading, playing guitar, decorating and making things pretty, or catching up with friends over coffee.

Jen Boettcher

Creative Engagement Director

As Creative Engagement Director, Jen leads Calvary’s visual and digital communications—overseeing website management, video production, and the social media team—while also guiding the Next Steps ministry to help people get connected to the church family. She first came to Calvary in 2018 as the Worship Coordinator and has faithfully stepped into various leadership roles as God has directed her path. Before entering full-time church ministry, Jen spent nearly 20 years teaching middle and high school English.

Jen has a deep passion for helping people grow in their relationship with Christ and building a strong community among believers, considering it a privilege to serve the Calvary family in this capacity.

Jen and her husband, Tim, who both remain deeply involved in Calvary's worship ministry, have been married for 16 years and have five children—Lila, Levi, Lukas, Layah, and Logan. When she isn’t leading creative engagement efforts, you can find her homeschooling her kids, milking a cow, raising chickens, baking, reading, crocheting, or enjoying a cup of coffee on the front porch.
